Life Lessons from the Trenches – Commitment
Day Trading is way more than simply learning how to trade and sitting in front of your screen putting your strategy into play.
It’s more of a mental thing than anything else. And that’s the true beauty of Trading – what it teaches you makes you a better person in every aspect of your life.
Before I started my trading journey the word ‘Commitment’ held little meaning to me other than committing to my partner.

Otherwise, I would use this word offhandedly, committing to do things that I never fully saw through, or even had any intention to.
However, COMMITMENT is probably one of the most powerful acts you can incorporate into your life.
After failing over and over and over again with my trading, I came to a crossroads in my life. Did I want to commit to really learning how to trade? Or continue in this horrible way and be miserable, or quit and pursue something totally different.
For me, there really was never a plan B, so that’s when I discovered the power of commitment.
I told myself that I will 100% commit to becoming a better trader, and that made all the difference.
From that day forth, I laid out plans for myself. What my daily routine was, being fully present and in the moment? And most importantly improving daily by learning, reviewing and truly giving it my all.
Today I will never use the word COMMITMENT unless I am 100% committed to what I promise to do, either it is for me or for someone else.
Once you fully allow yourself to commit to something you will be amazed at the changes it can bring you.
