Financial Markets – Day Trading Lingo of the Day

Financial Markets

Are you ready to start day trading? Have you ever noticed when the words’ day trading are mentioned, the first impulse for people is to immediately think of trading the Stock Market. This is most natural since stocks are what the majority of the world knows best, mainly due to investing opportunities.

Day Trading, however, is quite different from investing, it’s done during one day, sometimes within a couple of hours.

Interestingly enough, only about 25% of traders actually trade stocks.

Here is a list of the different financial markets that are open not only to day traders, but investors as well, but are most active on a daily basis.

Stocks (also known as equities)
Indexes (S&P, Dow, NASDAQ, Russell, etc…)
Options
Futures (also known as commodities)
Forex (currency exchange)
Precious Medals (including silver and gold)
Binaries
Treasure Notes
Bonds
Penny Stocks (even though this is similar to stocks, they are truly different in nature and require a completely different system)
Derivatives
