Are you tired of losing money with Forex signals that don’t work? I don’t know how many times I have been asked about trading signals, and I don’t know how many times people tell me they got scammed by some random anonymous seller. It’s not wrong to look for signals, under some circumstances they are proven to work, you just need to be smart, avoid breaking your trading rules, and avoid scammers at all costs.
We live in this world full of digital scammers, so, knowing how to distinguish between legitimate services and frauds can save you a lot of money and frustration. Today I’ll teach you the red flags that expose fake sellers and introduce you to reliable alternatives for safe Forex trading.

But first things first, many of you may not be familiar with trading signals, and avoiding a scam starts with getting familiar with it. So, trading or forex signals are trading recommendations that tell you when to buy or sell a currency pair.
They’re ideal for beginners to get a taste of the live market, or busy traders who want to take advantage of opportunities without analyzing the markets all day. That’s why many traders end up searching for topics like Forex Signals, Best Forex Signals, Best Forex Signals on Telegram or Stock Trading Signals and end up with legit providers like SureShotFX or HowToTrade, but many others end up with scammers.
Many sellers promise “guaranteed profits” and “quick success.” But like everything in life, if it sounds too good to be true… it probably isn’t.
The market is flooded with scammers. According to a report by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), 72% of retail traders lose money with fake signals. Don’t be part of that statistic!
While spotting a fake forex signal seller is not an easy task there are several red flags you need to learn in order to mitigate the chances of falling for a scam. But remember that many of them are not “set in stone”.
Here are some of them:
If a service claims “100% winning trades” or “guaranteed monthly returns,” stay away. The financial markets are volatile, and no one can guarantee profits, especially in a market like FOREX.
You can find online several ways of this approach, but a classic example is: “Earn $5,000 a week with our foolproof system”. This often is pure smoke and mirrors. Professional traders know there are profits and losses.
Nowadays this is a bit of a gray area since is well-known that some legit business uses phrases like this to get your attention, so it’s not 100% exact science.
Many traders go for the long route of showing their verifiable trading records (Myfxbook, FX Blue), and while this often brings undesired attention to us, it’s true that it makes traders or signal sellers a lot more credible.
You need to stay alert while checking records too, scammers are known to only show edited screenshots.
You should know that many legitimate sellers prefer to avoid showing records, since many times that brings the attention of hackers and other types of scammers.
While prices are not a complete red flag for signals, many fake sellers are pushy and demand really high payments before proving their signals work.
Most reputable companies often offer free trials or demo periods, also many of them offer free signals for your to-paper trade.
A common thing between scammers and fake sellers is that they often work with unregulated brokers with shady practices to collect a commission for signing up.
Your money could disappear, many times those brokers don’t even exist in the first place and as soon as you deposit, your money is blocked.
Always check the account history, and look for similar profiles. Most scammers and fake forex signal sellers create a bunch of profiles, to reach out to more people and have a backup in case of a ban.
Also, you should check followers and interactions, many times most of those followers and interactions are fake, created to boast about themselves.
They talk about “proprietary algorithms” or “proprietary AI” without clearly explaining how it works. The best strategies are simple and transparent.
They don’t show real photos, verifiable locations, or professional history. A simple web domain isn’t enough.
There are ways to verify the authenticity of a signal service, but like I said before, they are not set in stone, this means that there are several legit businesses that don’t have Regulations (since they are not mandatory) or don’t have trading history and still offer legitimate services.
So you can play around with the steps, and find something that works for you.
On top of the red flags, I like to take a 4-Step process:

Now, what’s next? There are several tips you can apply to spot fake signals or sellers, and here are some of them.
First, I highly recommend that you at least learn the basics of trading. Start with learning about technical and fundamental analysis, and invest in your education, that way you can easily spot fake free signals.
Second, go for the verified and reliable options. There are many signal services that have been around for ages, gaining the trust of many traders over the years.
Some transparent signal services are:
Forex signals can be useful, but they’re not magic. Scammers take advantage of laziness and excessive ambition, that’s why learning the basics of trading and setting moderate goals will help you big time.
Invest time in education, use transparent services, and remember: in Forex, there are profits and losses ALWAYS.
Some are legitimate, but none are perfect. Look for services with experience, that show proof or are verified in some way or have a clear risk management.
Yes, but they must comply with financial regulations. In the EU/USA, they require specific licenses.
Not necessarily. Many are bait and switch to selling you premium services. Evaluate their consistency.
